Meditate your way to mindfulness 🧘
Yeah yeah, you've heard it all before, but there's a reason everyone raves about meditation! Studies show that regular meditation can aid in reducing feelings of stress and anxiety, support your sleep cycle and increase cognitive function! Start small and in a way that works for you, maybe a quick guided session using an app like Calm or listening to a sleep story to wind down. Whatever works for you is A OK by us.
Have a cold shower ❄️
At least we didn't tell you to jump in an ice bath right! While a freezing dip and some Wim Hof would be unreal, we did say we'd ease you in gently! Kickstarting your day with a cold shower, or finishing off with a 30 second icy spray, has been shown to reduce inflammation and promote recovery by improving circulation. From a mental standpoint, the shock of the cold water sends a jolt to the brain and can increase alertness, clarity and energy levels.
Self care 🥰
More than just a trending hashtag, self care is a super important way to ensure that you're putting yourself first on the regular. It doesn't have to be a grandiose act, it can be as simple as fitting your favourite chocolate in to your daily nutrition, going to bed early to finish the book you've been reading for the last 6 months, seeing a movie by yourself or getting a massage.

Get some sun 🌞
In the Southern Hemisphere where you'll find BYS HQ, it's not quite beach weather yet, but the sun is starting to resurface in small doses! Prioritise some time outside (don't forget to be sun safe!), soak up some vitamin d, and take a moment to just enjoy the warmth and comfort that the sun on your face can bring.

How many times have you begrudgingly dragged yourself off the couch to go for a run, bike ride, or to hit the gym and then come home feeling 100% better than when you left? That's because moving your body promotes the release of endorphins and serotonin, it's the easiest mood boosting hack ever!
