Boosted Strawberry Balsamic Thickshake

Boosted Strawberry Balsamic Thickshake

This smoothie is equal parts sweet, creamy, and secretly packed with goodness. With frozen strawberries, cashew butter, and a splash of balsamic (trust us—it works), this Vanilla Strawberry Shake is anything but basic. Blended with Beforeyouspeak French Vanilla Complex, it’s got that rich, café-style flavour plus an optional hit of protein, fibre, or even stealthy veg—because why not make your smoothie do more?

Naturally gluten free, vegetarian, and easy to make dairy free or vegan with a few swaps, this shake is perfect for breakfast, a post-workout boost, or that mid-afternoon “need something but not too much” kind of moment. Add the melted dark chocolate swirl—you won’t regret it.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup vanilla yoghurt
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk (or milk of choice) – more or less to desired consistency
  • 1 cup of frozen strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon of cashew butter (sub 2 tablespoons of raw cashews, soak in boiling water for 10 minutes before blending if you don’t have a high-powered blender)
  • 1 tablespoon of French Vanilla Complex
  • 1 teaspoon of balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1/4-1/2 cup of ice – more or less to desired consistency

Optional add-ins

  • Melted dark chocolate to swirl your glass with happiness
  • 1/2-1 cup cauliflower or zucchini (pre-steamed & frozen works best) – a great way to get an extra (undetectable) serve of veg & make your smoothie extra thick
  • 1 teaspoon of maca powder
  • 1 teaspoon of flaxmeal/ground flax – for healthy fats & extra fiber
  • 1-2 scoops of Collagen Complex
  • 1 scoop protein powder – for extra protein (vanilla or chocolate would work best here)

Method

  1. Place all smoothie ingredients into your blender and process until smooth, creamy and well combined.
  2. Pour into a chilled glass or mason jar then top with toppings of choice.
  3. Enjoy!
